About me

about me, author of bakeandcut
Cooking is at once one of the simplest and most gratifying of the arts, but to cook well one must love and respect food.

Hi and welcome to my blog.

A brief intro to who I am.

Welcome to my world.

I am dyslexic and blog writing, so never let anything hold you back. So if you see a grammar error or two or some words out of sequence, it means the proofreader did not pick them up. Thanks for understanding. I am learning how to manage it.

I read many *about mes* on many blogs. I think I have the most boring about me page.

I am just a real simple down to earth country girl. So with that said, let’s go and find out a bit more about.

My name is Rachel, I love to eat; I love to cook, love to photograph things. Simple really.

Born in New Zealand, and raised on a farm. I had pet pigs, sheep and all the usual suspects. IE: cats and dogs and guinea pigs. I climbed trees, rode on tractors, cooked, had fights with my brothers, all the things you do on a farm. I grew up in a simple household where we made and produced all our food. That is where I learnt to cook, to sew, to garden and do many other things.
Moved to Australia a few years ago, fell in love with a man and the country. I now call it home.

My grandfather was a chef; that’s him holding the big stick in the center. So cooking is a passed on down skill

author sgrandfather,

The food you will find on here is simple humble fare, what I have been making for a long time. And food has to be easy. We all like easy food to make.
I am so not into packet food. Just not my scene.
So if you are looking something simple, something sweet, and just a touch of kiwi, then this is the place for you.

So this is where I share my love of those things. I love feedback, leave a comment. Feel free to share to your Facebook page or social media and while there check out mine: https://www.facebook.com/bakeandcut
