Lazy Tomato Pasta Sauce
: Sauce
  • 40-50 grams olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, cut into quarters
  • 4 cloves of garlic (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon of dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon of dried marjoram
  • ½ teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon of potato flour (optional) see notes
  • 1 kg of fresh tomatoes cut up (skinned if possible)
  1. Weigh in olive into Mycookjug
  2. Heat for 2 minutes / 120° / speed 1
  3. Then add in onion and garlic
  4. using the saute´function ( see user manual for more info)
  5. time 2.5 minutes /120° / S button
  6. Then add in the rest of the ingredients.
  7. Leave the measuring cap off, and use the stainless steel steamer basket upside down on the lid.
  8. Cook for 30 minutes / 120° / speed 1
Notes:[br]I have found that fresh tomatoes vary in water content, so the potato flour is optional. If the tomatoes are fairly dry , leave out the flour. [br]I like to use it because it makes a thicker sauce. [br][url href="" target="_blank"]Skin the tomatoes[/url][br][br]If you do not have fresh tomatoes, you can use 3 400gram tins of chopped tomatoes. [br][br]You can use fresh herbs if you have them.
